That’s what this is for. A place to share your moment, exactly as it is.
We’re building a community on Instagram at @wereonlyhumansstories where real people share real moments to remind each other they are not alone. When you share your moment, you might give someone else permission to share theirs, or simply help them know they aren’t the only one.
You don’t need the biggest story. You just need your story.
How it works
Take out your phone, hold it vertically, and record whatever is in front of you. A window, a park, your kitchen, the ceiling of your bedroom. Anything that helps someone see what you’re seeing and feel a little of what you’re feeling.
Maybe it’s something you’re grieving. A change you’re struggling with. A relationship that feels different. Fear about what comes next. Feeling alone, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not like yourself.
It doesn't have to be dramatic. Just something you've been carrying. Simply share what's been on your mind, how you're feeling, or something you've been carrying lately. Talk for about 30 seconds. You don’t need to plan it, script it, or do a second take. There is no right way to do this. Just your view, your voice, and this moment, exactly as it is.

One take. No scripts. No editing.
Make sure no faces appear in the video, including reflections in windows or mirrors.
No identifying details like street signs or license plates.

We read and review every submission personally. Everything is completely anonymous. Your name, face, or identity will never appear anywhere. If your moment is selected, we’ll share it anonymously so someone else knows they aren’t carrying it alone.
